Instructor renewal process

There are 3 steps to renew your Instructor status with the American Heart Association:

1. Teach at least 4 courses per discipline in the two year window. 

2. Download and fill out the Instructor Renewal Form below.  One form per discipline (No form is needed for HeartSaver if you are a BLS Instructor. BLS supersedes HeartSaver). 

3. Return Form to us.

4. Purchase the "Instructor Renewal Fee" on the "SHOP" page above.
